Sainsbury Family Charitable Trusts

The Sainsbury Family Charitable Trusts operates 17 different independent grant-making trusts. It does not make grants itself: only the individual trusts make grants. Each trust is an independent legal entity. The trusts only fund registered charities or activities with clearly defined charitable purposes. They do not make grants directly to individuals.

Some of the trusts pro-actively seek out proposals, and do not consider any other applications. Seven of the trusts will consider proposals on the condition that they closely fit the trusts’ specific areas of interest.

If you are considering an application check that your project, activity and charity come within the specific trust’s remit.
